Thank you for being patient with me while I took a break from all the things to focus on my mental health and healing. It’s been a powerful 6 months, and I can’t wait to tell you about it.
Finding the right fit of a therapist and the right dose of medication makes a world of difference. If you are suffering, don’t give up. If you don’t like your therapist, find a different one. If you’re on meds, and they aren’t working like you want them to, talk to your doctor.
I know it’s hard. It’s so hard to pick up that phone and make that call. If you have someone in your life who will make the call for you, ask them to do it. No shame in that. If you don’t have someone to do that, it’s worth it to do the hard thing. In the words of the amazing Glennon Doyle, we can do hard things.
You are worth it.
And the right combination of help for you does exist.
The Better Jesus
OK, so if you’ve been following me or my work for any length of time, you know I’ve been deconstructing and reconstructing my Christian faith for a few years now. (Deconstructing = Fancy word for examining what I believe and why I believe it. Reconstructing = Keeping what works, tossing what doesn’t, and adding new things.)
Whatever your faith tradition, or lack thereof, I believe it’s vitally important to examine it for yourself and not just hang onto what someone told you to believe or not believe.
When my whole world started shaking a few years ago and what Jesus was showing me and calling me to did not line up with what I was taught, I decided to approach Jesus with 3 questions:
Who are you Jesus?
Who do you say that I am?
He has and continues to lead me to answers to these questions in so many unexpected ways. And I can’t wait to tell you about that too.
But one major insight the Spirit continues to unveil to me is that Jesus is so much better than I thought He was.
than I thought he was.
I want to invite you to experience this better Jesus with me. So I’ve got some projects I’m pretty excited about in the works.
First, this blog is going to change. It’s no longer going to be Redeemed For More. That was a fitting name for the work I’ve done here for a time, but it’s time for a change and a new direction.
Second, The Better Jesus Podcast is coming!
I can’t wait to share more details about both of these things with you soon! If you’d like to be among the first to know when the new site is up and the podcast starts please subscribe to my newsletter below.
Thank you so much for being part of my online tribe.
